Funding care

Home Care Funding Options

When it comes to paying for your home care solution, there are several options.

At Kentish Homecare we understand the raft of payment options available to you and we will work with you to help identify the best options available to you.

You can choose to pay for the care privately or you may be entitled to supplementary funding from the Department for Work and Pensions, such as an ‘attendance allowance’ or ‘independent living allowance’. There are several helpful websites like Age UK, CAB and NHS UK that you can access for more information on these services.

Social care is not free to everyone, but you can apply via your local social services, who will undertake care and financial assessments to verify that you are eligible for additional support.

You may also be entitled to funding through what is commonly called ‘Direct Payment’. Social services will give you an agreed amount which you can then use to organise the care services of your choice, rather than settling for the service they may wish to provide.

In certain circumstances the NHS may also provide funding for care packages.

If you have complex health requirements or have received treatment under the Mental Health Act you may be eligible for further help with your payments. Likewise, you may be able to claim benefits.

If you would like to discuss funding options for your bespoke personal care plan, simply contact us. A member of our team will be happy to help.

Kentish Homecare recommends all clients and potential clients seek additional advice from an independent financial adviser to help make these important decisions.
